She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Stanley Blanchard and Mattie Lee Ausley Blanchard; her husband Joseph Gene; her son Joseph Phillip Smith; and her siblings, Stanley Edward Blanchard, Delia Gertrude Arnold and Hilda Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna S. Jones of Fuquay-Varina; her grandchildren, Joseph Ashley Jones (Skipper S. Jones), Terri Smith Barbour (Jamie), Joseph Christopher Smith and Brandon Smith; her great grandchildren, Dillion Barbour, William Reid Jones and Thomas Wright Jones; her sisters, Ruth Baucom, Iris Jean Johnson, Louise Johnson and JoAnn Betts; and her sister-in-law Rachel Weaver Blanchard.
Memorials may be made to Christian Light Christian Church or to one's favorite charity.
