She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Smith and Ina Ruth McGrath; her husband Cecil Mangum; her son Ronald Cheek (Jerri Lee); and her sisters, Mildred Snavely (Everett) and Rose Thompson (Frank).
She is survived by: her children, Joy Spurlock (Ronald) of Fuquay-Varina and Steven Cheek (Connie) of Eugene, Oregon; her sister Phyllis Willison (Rod) of Edmund, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Anthony Spurlock (Amy), Allen Spurlock (Clara), Kimberly Rau (Brian), Kristina Pullum (Will), Kristofer Cheek and Tony; her great grandchildren, RJ, Dominic, Alex, Nicoales, Luke, Maddy, Lee, Austin, Michael, Samantha, Taylor, Lauren and Zakary; and her great great grandchild Nauhla.
