He was predeceased by : his parents, James B. Thompson and Lozzie Gregory Thompson; and his brother Billy Thompson. He is survived by : his wife Peggy Clark Thompson; his children, Anita Davis (Mark) of Fuquay-Varina and Chad Thompson (Theresa) of Smithfield; and his siblings, Diane Williford of Willow Spring and Garland Thompson (Susan) of Angier. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hilltop Church, 10212 Fayetteville Rd. Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526, building fund.
