With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Gentry Adcock of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, who passed away on January 5, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Madison Gentry and Bessie Chandler Gentry; her husband Thurston Adcock; her son-in-law Gene Barker; and her siblings, Aaron Gentry, Ernest Gentry, Sr., Vera Yeakel and Erma Guthrie.
She is survived by: her children, O. T. Adcock, Jr. (Sandy) of Deltaville, VA, Kathy Barker of Fletcher, NC and Randy Adcock (Debbie) of Angier; her stepbrother Lynton Stephenson of New Bern; her grandchildren, Patrick Adcock (Davia), Katie Lazar (Stephan), Jeremy Renner, Anna Stultz Allison Adcock (Ryan), Abby McRae (Thomas), Russ Barker (Jordan) and Jameson Barker (Mallory); and her great grandchildren, Ellie Adcock, Cason Adcock, Asher Adcock, Baron Barker (Hannah), Garrison Barker, Bowie Barker and Ridge Barker.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Wake Chapel Christian Church Youth Ministry.
