He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Davis and Effie Bumgarner Davis; his wife Mildred Davis; his brother Jerry Davis; and his granddaughter Crystal Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Cherry Smith (Michael), Ellen Welch of Fuquay-Varina and Kenny Davis (Kim) of Nashville, NC; his brother Jimmy Davis (Elouise) of Taylorsville, NC; his grandchildren, Alicia Seawell (Josh), Kevin Davis, Kyle Davis (Taraleigh), Jared Welch (Leah) and Jeremy Welch (Brittany); and his great grandchildren, Christian Seawell, Michaela Seawell, Noah Davis, Ethan Davis, Mason Davis, Caden Davis, Jacob Davis, Brianna Davis, Joseph Davis, Selah Davis, Gabriel Welch, Hannah Welch, Mary-Ella Welch, Kolin Giles and Eliana Grace Welch.
