She was predeceased by: her husband George Leonard Batts; her parents, Katherine J. Chestnutt Rowland and William F. Chestnutt; and her stepfather B. C. Rowland. She is survived by: her son Caleb Batts (Joy); and her grandchildren, Luke, Kinsey, Spencer and Seth.

“Kitty graduated with my husband Bobby Wortham from Fuquay High in 1959. Kitty was a neighbor of ours on the Needmore community and attended our church Pleasant Grove Baptist for many years. Kitty attended our Tuesday morning Bible Study for years and we had so much fun with our teacher Rick Carter, going out to eat & trips to Myrtle Beach and all sharing all the Wolfpack ball games. We will really miss her but know where she is. Love Frances Wortham”
