We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2025, at the age of 94, Mary Frances Abernathy Caviness of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Estelle and Cornelia Frances Lanier Abernathy; her husband Glenwood Caviness; and her siblings, Davis Abernathy, Clinton Abernathy, Inez Hollifield and Aleise Sockell.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Faucette (Rob) and Marty Caviness (Kelly) of Fuquay-Varina; her grandchildren, Jason Faucette (Laura), Amy Schenk (Ryan), Lauren Watkins (Daniel) and Joshua Caviness (Nikki); and her great grandchildren, Ava Faucette, Jase Faucette, Parker Watkins, Coralee Watkins, Bree Schenk, Laina Schenk and Kenzie Caviness. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and sisters.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Cumberland Union Baptist Church (2259 Cokesbury Rd, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
