She was predeceased by: her parents, James Winston Smith and Mary Florence Byrd Smith; and her husband Horton Callahan. She is survived by: her siblings, Randy Smith (Judy) and Pam Linke (Gerhard); and her nephews, Scott Smith (Jan), Michael Edwards (Stephanie), Andy Linke (Lauren), Kevin Linke (Debbie) and Mark Linke. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews; her husband's children and grandchildren.
