With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary (Mollie) Smith of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, born in Bluefield, West Virginia, who passed away on July 4, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Moore and Hazel A. (Ralph M. Nunnery); her former husband Harvey P. Smith, Jr.; her husband Along; her daughter Mary Fountain Collins; her stepson Wayne, Sr.; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Gray Collins.
She is survived by: her children, James Fountain, Jr. and Linda Gail Ball (Danny); her stepchildren, Harvey, III, Clark (Beth), Naomi Lambert (George) and Laura Leigh (Mark "Smitty"); her grandchildren, Katie and Timothy Hockaday; her stepgrandchildren, Wayne Smith, Jr. (Marie), George, III, Chandler Smith (Aimee), Preston Smith, Adams Smith and Audrey Lambert; her great grandchild Damian Botner; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, George, IV and Addilynn Lambert.
The family requests no flowers, but any monetary contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, Youth Fund or Music Fund.
