He is survived by: his wife Shirley McLamb Smith; his children, Randy Smith (Donna), Sandra Smith Duvall of Holly Springs, Sherry Jackson of Fuquay-Varina, Patricia Avery (Robert) of Benson and Bonnie Jackson of Dunn; his sisters, Bonnie Stein of Nashville, TN and Betty Bartlett of Wilson; and his grandchildren, JJ Smith, April Capps (Reed), Jennifer Bell, Phillip Duvall (Sarah Partin), Kayla Roseman (Josh), Wendy Thompson and Tracy Cox. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
