He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Judy; his daughters, Christine Beaulieu (Jeffrey), Virginia Oleson (Joel), Janell McInroe (Brandon), Angela Zook (Robert) and Michelle House (Reise); his grandchildren, Taylor, Scott, Jacob, Cody, Jared, Benny, Dean, Levi, Ian, Ashley and Paisley; his siblings, Glen Hovey (Norma), Roger Hovey (Terrie), David Hovey (Lorene) and Elaine Ellis Ranae Covel (late Leonard Ellis); and his parents, Reid M. Hovey and Maxine Smith.
