She was predeceased by: her father Willie Paul Murphy; her sisters, Ella Jane Murphy, Willie Mae Murphy and Lillie Doris McKoy; and her grandmother Johnnie Irene McNeil.
She is survived by: her children, Sherik McNeil of Charlotte, NC, Tony McNeil of Garland, NC. and Marcedo McNeil of Garland, NC.; her mother Geneva Hill of Garland, NC; her sisters, Nancy McNeil of Garland, NC, Letha Ree Murphy of Garland, NC, Gail Highsmith of Harrells, NC. and Diane Murphy of Harrells, NC.; her aunts, Letha McNeil of Raleigh, NC and Violet McNeil of Garland, NC; her uncle William "Boney" McNeil of Clinton, NC.; her friend Jimmy Parker; and her close friend Veronica Thomas. She is also survived by her grandchildren: 16 grandkids.
