He was predeceased by: his parents, Java May Best and Giles Lester Best, Jr.; his brother Reginald Kevin Best; and his grandparents, Jessie H., Giles L. Best, Sr., Katie Samuels May and William D. May.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sherry B. Cloninger (Roger), Darrell Best (Paula) and Anthony "Tony" Best (Terri); his nieces, Dena Beaty (Jeff), Jessica Earl (Tyson), Julie B. Denton (Chad) and Amy Parker (Samantha); his great-niece Ashley Beaty; his great-nephew Zachary Beaty (Kalani); and also Mila Beaty. He is also survived by numerous cousins as well as many special friends.
