He was predeceased by : his parents, Bryte Lackey (Anthony) and Charles Milton Lackey; his son David Wayne Lackey; and his brothers, Ray Lackey, Allen Lackey and Gene Lackey.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Lackey (Heavener).

The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Bob's name to Myrtle UMC, P.O. Box 1285, Gastonia, NC 28052.
