It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dot M. Wellman of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on December 10, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Paul and Laura Edra Powell Matheson; and her brothers, Glenn, David, George and Harold Matheson.

She is survived by : her husband Ran Wellman; her daughters, Pam Spencer (Scott) and Misty Law (Brian); her siblings, Odell "Bug" Matheson, Christine "Tootsie" Fields, Carolyn Hall (Gerald) and Betty Jean Lackey; her grandchildren, Brooke Spence (Tommy), Kaci Barrett (Mitchell), Bryson Law and Ashton Law; and her great grandchildren, Jessie Spence, Delilah Barrett, Kyser Wooten and Evelyn Law.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine Children's Hospital, 1000 Blythe Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
