It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayle Dilling Elmore of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband William Glenn Elmore, Jr. (Jack); her parents, Marshall Dilling, Jr. and Mabel Beaudrot Dilling; and her daughter Gaye Dilling Elmore Joyce. She is survived by : her daughters, Amy Elmore Parks (Tony) of Kings Mountain, Molly Elmore Lloyd of Bluffton, SC and Emily Elmore Wilson (Bryan) of Charlotte; her siblings, Becky Dilling Conrad and Marshall Dilling, III (Phyllis); her grandchildren, Katherine Doctor (Landon), Claire Hutchins, William Parks, Jack Lloyd, Virginia Lloyd, Cameron Joyce, Ethan Joyce (Erin), Levi Joyce, Mason Joyce Sarah Wilson (Madison) and Jason Wilson; and her great grandchildren, Annabelle, Olivia, Banner, Ayden, Emory and Shayne.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (190 E Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
