He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burton Tucker, Sr. and Lucille Ramsey Tucker; his wife Mercedes Tucker; and his sisters, Edwina Godwin, Elizabeth Diane Tucker and Debra Lee Tucker.
He is survived by: his children, James Burton Tucker, III, Elisa Brittain (Kevin), Nelson Castillo, Ileana Castillo, Michael King (Jessica), Scotty King and David Torres; and his sister Glenda Mason. He is also survived by two nieces; one nephew; one great niece and one great nephew.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel (216 Archie Whitesides Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
