He is survived by: his wife Susan Stewart; his daughter Jena Stewart Jenkins; his son-in-law Trey Jenkins; his grandson Tucker Jenkins of Belmont, NC.; his son Jim Stewart of Gastonia; and his grandchildren, Tori Stewart, Kati Stewart and Ryan Stewart of Clover, SC..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greene Funeral Service South Chapel (1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of James Stewart.
