He was predeceased by: his brother Alex Lyles; and his grandfather Richard Davis. He is survived by: his mother Major Betty Lyles; his siblings, Captain Scott Lyles (Michelle), Captain Chris Lyles (Elisa) and Kayla Brown; and his nieces, Abigail, Madison, Tatiana and Carla.
