It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray R. Cline of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on August 1, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Hunter Plato Stroupe and Irene Roberts Stroupe; and his grandson Randall "Chopper" Cline, Jr.. He is survived by : his wife Rebecca "Becky" Beam Cline; his children, Eric Devine (Mara), Julie Devine Denton (Danny), Ray Cline, Jr., Randall Cline, Sr. and Susan Cline Hanks (Matthew); his brothers, Thurman Cogdell (Margaret) and Hunter Stroupe; and his grandchildren, Dilan, Nolan, Marlee Devine, Brandon, Bobby Cline, Amanda, Brooke Cline, Gabriel, Anna and Jonah Hanks. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
