She was predeceased by : her parents, Romeo Elexander Phillips and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jackson Phillips; and her siblings, Bessie Phillips Kendrick, Ocie Phillips Gordon, Thelma Phillips, Arona Phillips Cooper, Pearl Phillips, Martha Phillips, Teretha Phillips, Minnie Phillips Floyd, Marion Phillips and Richard Phillips.

She is survived by : her son Joel Anthony Phillips; her daughter-in-law Kymberly Henry-Phillips; her granddaughters, Angel and Tiffany; and her great grandchildren, Kaidence "Katy", A'yauri, Jonathan, Timeya and Kross. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
