He was predeceased by: his mother Eva Horton; and his brothers, Russell and Maxie Horton. He is survived by: his father T. B. Horton; his wife Betty Horton; his children, John Horton (Allison) and Stacy Walton (Chris); his sisters, Annalene Michaw and Linda Hanna; and his grandchildren, Spencer and Laney Horton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Chapel of A Simple Service Burial & Cremation of Lancaster (201 N Catawba St #2066, Lancaster, SC 29720).
In Lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation in his memory to either the Alzheimer's Association or perhaps Elton's favorite, the R & G Sporting Goods Store Annual Poker Run Benefit for the Lancaster Children's Home.
