She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Franklin Ledford; her parents, Perry Johnson and Bessie Mauney Johnson; and her siblings, Leroy Johnson of Troy Johnson, J. D, Jake Johnson, Jim Johnson, Alfred Johnson, Pauline Caldwell, Mozelle Lineberger and Daphine McRee.
She is survived by: her close friends, Sam and Linda Bean.
The lying in state was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Pearl Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (2858 NC-150, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
In lieu of flowers, Meanie's wishes are for memorials to be made to Pearl Baptist Church, Building Fund, 4657 E. NC 27, Iron Station, NC 28080.
