It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lois Ann Perkins Benton of Gatesville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 4, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lewis Perkins and Clarissa Perkins; her husband Elmo Benton; and her brothers, Lewis, Jr. and Charlie Perkins.

She is survived by : her children, Debbie Shirley (Rodney) of Edenton, Jean Benton (Les) of Gatesville, Jeanette Hart (Dennis) of Tarboro and Warren Benton (Andrea) of Morehead City; her grandchildren, Tyler Shirley (Tho), Ben Shirley (Kathy), Taylor Hart, Wesley Hart (Kacie), Lance Benton (Samantha) and Michaila Daniel (Peter); her great grandchild Luke Shirley; her sister Polly Butler (Ken); and her sister-in-law Sandy Perkins. She is also survived by four children, a doting grandmother, and a caring and devoted wife.
