It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Opal Howell Askew of Gatesville, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 94, on July 25, 2023. She was predeceased by : her parents, Mills Howell and Bessie Piland Howell Rountree; her husband H. Glenn Askew; and her siblings, Blanche Andrews, Kent and Gene Howell.

She is survived by : her sons, Robert Erwin Ferguson of Eure, Glenn Allen Askew (Janice) of Eure and John Mills Askew (Janet) of Eure; her grandchildren, Robin Tidwell, Ashley Stallings (Shelton), Leeza, Sarah and Kent Askew; and her great grandchildren, Abigail and Logan Stallings.
