He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Edward Vann, Sr. and Ollie Grace Bundy Vann; and his siblings, Jeanett Price, Nellie Byrum, Walter Jr., Bobby and Joe Vann.

He is survived by : his siblings, Betty V. Davis of Belvidere, NC and James Earl "Rusty" Vann of Suffolk. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family.
