She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Blackwood and Bettie Parker Blackwood; and her sisters, Maxaline Oakley and Wilma Adams. She is survived by: her husband Billy Gene Sutton; her children, Jody Sutton Thrasher (Conway) and Billy Michael Sutton (Dana); her granddaughter Erin Elizabeth Frye; and her siblings, Ann Ashley, Gail Kelly and Lewis Blackwood. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
