We are sad to announce that on April 1, 2024, at the age of 79, Vernon McLeod Forbes Jr. of Gold Hill, North Carolina, born in Wilmington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Vernon McLeod Forbes, Sr. and Hazel Edgerton Forbes; and his pet Rudder. He is survived by : his wife Donna Forbes; his sister Mary Cobb Woodard; his niece Charlsie Woodard; his nephews, Tom Woodard and Joe Woodard; his sister-in-law Loretta Hodges; his niece Ashley Osborne; and his nephew Ron Hodges. He is also survived by 12 great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gold Hill Methodist Church, P.O. Box 52, Gold Hill, NC 28071.
