He is survived by: his wife Betty Jewel Vaughn Hooks of Goldsboro; his children, Ralph S. Hooks, Brenda Thornton, Linda Hooks Martin and Phyllis Ginn (Steve); his sisters, Layune Taylor and Virgie Bell; his grandchildren, Jessica Melvin, Megan Taylor, Justin Aaron Hooks, Lindsey Martin and Brooke Martin; and his great grandchildren, Jala Melvin, Zaidan Melvin, Bella Melvin and Ally Taylor. He is also survived by Husband and Dad and enjoyed his Grandchildren.
