It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amma Turner (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland G. Mayo and Edith Smith Mayo; and her brother Garland Gray Mayo, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Vernon E. Turner of Dudley, NC; her children, Melissa Dawn Turner Jones of Dudley, NC and Vernon Elliott Turner, II (Melissa) of Pikeville, NC; her grandchildren, Raymond Jones, Jr. (Tracy), Raiford Turner and Leah Turner; her sisters, Frances Bee Mayo and Gretchen Jordan; and her stepgranddaughter Heather Morgan.
