She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Floyd Cox and Annie Ruth Adams Cox; her husband Gurney Elmer Hollowell; her daughter Ann Warrick; her sons-in-law, Max Warrick and Richard Lopez; and her stepsons, L. D. Hollowell and Jimmy Hollowell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Edith Lopez of Raleigh and Faye Lewis (Dean) of Manteo; her stepchildren, Bernetta Edwards of Princeton and Rev. Elbert Hollowell of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Joan Greenberg, Adam Lopez, Lisa Friedman, Kim Hicks and Susan Williams; and her great grandchildren, Scarlette Williams, Holden Williams, Lilah Gray Williams, Emmett Williams and Tiernan Hicks. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, a private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Princeton Cemetery.
