She was predeceased by: her parents, Rossie McKee and Theatus McKee; her husband Donald Paul Callahan; her sons, Donald Ray Callahan and Jackie Glenn Callahan; and also Veta Carter.
She is survived by: her niece Barbara Hall; her nephew Charles McKee; her daughters, Thea Willing-Navarro (Enrique) of Kennesaw, GA. and Cathy Reese (Rudy) of Pikeville, NC; and her grandchildren, Paul Reese, Steven Reese, Michelle Alombro, Jodie of Washington, Jessica Willing, James Willing, Matthew Callahan and Daniel Callahan.
