He is survived by: his wife Patsy Pilkington Howell; his children, Stephen R. Howell (Heather) of Goldsboro and Becky Howell Price (Tracy) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Seth, Tanner Price, Gabriella and Isabella Howell; and his sisters, Olive Mae Gravitt, Allene Lawhorn Vogen, Joyce Ruth Nemec (Bob) and Linda Kay Williamson (Jim). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
