He was predeceased by: his parents, George Isaac and Alva Aycock Floars; his great grandchild Winston DeCarlo; and his siblings, Alstyne Floars, Jimmy Floars, George Floars, Jackie Floars and Sylva Rhea Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Goodson Floars; his children, Tammy Floars Cannon (Terry) and Bobby Darryl Floars (Tammy); his grandchildren, Aaron Pendergraft (Jessica), Austin Pendergraft (Sarelle), Bobby Floars (Casey), Blaire DeCarlo (Scott), Bradley Floars (Megan), Blake Floars and Samantha Young (Justin); and his sisters, Cecile Hooks and Betsy Honeycutt. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 1200 W. Grantham Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
