He is survived by: his wife Star Merritt; his sister Merwyn Ann Fowler; his children, Brian Christopher Merritt and Michelle Anne Merritt Thompson (Charles Allen Thompson); his grandsons, Matthew Ty Thompson and Christopher Allen Thompson; his children, Walter James Acres (Milissa) and Crystal Sundown Blanton (Scott); and his grandchildren, Hunter Matthew Holland, Alexander Glenn Blanton, Emma Acres and Aidan Acres.
