He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wheeler and Sarah Jane Hall Wheeler. He is survived by: his children, Timothy "Tim" Wheeler (Ketrina) of Rosewood and Betty Jean Wheeler-Dyson of Goldsboro; his sister Dorothy Coley of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Miranda Fraley, Shyanne Wheeler, Dylan Wheeler, Latasha Dyson, Aarika Dyson and Gabriel Dyson. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
