He is survived by: his wife Becky Powell Byrd; his daughter Jennifer Byrd Pfaadt; his son-in-law Donald Joseph "D. J."; his son David Ryan Byrd; his daughter-in-law Emily Southerland Byrd of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Donald Joseph "Tripp" Pfaadt III, Edward Wellons "Wells" Pfaadt, Patrick "Ward" Pfaadt and Beatrice Wellons Byrd; his mother-in-law Jo Ann Wellons; his siblings-in-law, Belinda "Susie" Nicely and William Lee Wellons (Diane); and his father-in-law William Freeman Wellons. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Attendees are asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
