She was predeceased by: her sister Mary Sykes Jernigan. She is survived by: her sons, Charlie Ruffin Tew (Judy) of Goldsboro and James Thomas Tew (Sybil) of Antioch, TN; her stepsons, Billy Palmer of Florida and Steve Palmer (Niki) of Texas; her brother Major Kermit Sykes of Fayetteville; her granddaughters, Lisa Tew Gaskins (Wade) of New Bern, Angie Tew Bass (Mark) of Pikeville and Amy Tew Marlin (Steve); her great grandchildren, Samantha Gaskins, Abbe Harris, Avery Bass, Patrick Gaskins, Lelton Marlin and Turner Bass; her nephew Jesse Jernigan of Dudley; and her nieces, Renae Creech, Diane Skyes, Gay, Marie, Teddy and Peggy Jean. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100.
