He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Hamilton Brewington; his sons, Edward Lee Brewington and Earl Green; and his sisters, Annie McNeil and Delores Stallworth.
He is survived by: his children, James Anthony "Levi" Barnes of Austin, Don Maurice White of Charlotte and Miracle Brewington of Conyers, Georgia; and his siblings, Willie Brewington of Odenton, Bishop Clifton Brewington (Portia) of Goldsboro, Elder Lamont Brewington (Brenda) of Wilson, Kenneth Brewington of Anchorage, Alaska, Inez B. Covington of Anchorage and Vera Logan of Goldsboro. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
