He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Trellie Brown Herring; his daughters, McKenzie Lee (Jerry) of Goldsboro and Gina Carol Herring; his close friend Livius Carr of Goldsboro; his siblings, Edith Wiggs of Pikeville, Betty Jo Walker of Goldsboro, Johnny Herring of Goldsboro, Glenn Herring of Seven Springs and Michael Herring of Grantham; his grandchildren, Madelyn Lee and Savannah Lee; and his brother Sherrill Herring. He was also cherished by extended family that includes several nieces and nephews.
