He is survived by: his wife Ann Mewborn Smith; his sons, Elton Lee Smith, Jr. (Judy), Michael Smith (Patricia) and Steve Smith; his grandchildren, Jonathan Smith (Maggie), Hannah Smith Patterson (Andrew), Morgan Smith Stafford (Blaine), Stephanie Smith and Zachary Smith; his great grandchild Nora Elizabeth Stafford; and his siblings, Thomas Smith (Sharon) and Bonnie Gray (Royce). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
