He is survived by: his wife Jenny Williams Taylor of Goldsboro, NC; his son Art Taylor; his daughter-in-law Tara Laskowski; his grandson Dashiell Taylor of Fairfax, VA; his son Jason Taylor of Goldsboro, NC.; and his siblings, Benford Shepard of Pickerington, OH and Ester Sumner of Beulaville, NC..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Triangle/Eastern North Carolina chapter of the American Heart Association.
