She was predeceased by : her parents, Yona Nkurlu and Wanzigia Nonigwa Nkurlu; and her siblings, Geoffrey, Ephraim Nkurlu and Miriam Nkurlu.
She is survived by : her daughter Lilian K. Danieli (Sembua Danieli) of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Imani Danieli, Serena Danieli and Akili Danieli; and her siblings, Matilda Sauli, Sophia Yona, Calvert Nkurlu, Julius Nkurlu, Francis Nkurlu, Modest Nkurlu and Fadhili Nkurlu.
