He was predeceased by: his child Alvin Anderson Proctor; and his siblings, Josephine Jones, Earlene Ferrell, Reece Proctor and Rudolph Proctor.
He is survived by: his child Florence Hawley Proctor; his wife Theodosia Smith Proctor; his son Al Proctor (Stephanie) of Wilson; his stepson Al Laws (Denise) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Taylor Baker (Hunter), Brandon Proctor (Emily Nguyen), Jennifer King and Josh Laws; his great grandchild Hannah Goodson; and his siblings, Elton Lee Proctor (Lou Ann), Lennis Proctor (Edna), Bobby Proctor (Mary Lou) and Linda Crumpler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
