He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Shirl Daughtry and George W. Sugg; his wife Betty Mixon Daughtry; his daughters, Kay Daughtry of Goldsboro, Peggy Daughtry of Wrightsville Beach and Carol Daughtry Bynum (Arch Bynum, Jr.) of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Bynum of Darden Bynum, III and Helen-Anne Bynum.
