She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Gainey and Martha Wilkins Gainey; her husband Milton James Cruse; her sons, Kenneth Everett Cruse and David Ray Cruse; and her siblings, James Lewis Gainey, Atha Hanger and Mary Ann Brewington.

She is survived by: her son James Earl Cruse; her grandchildren, Michelle Adams, Joe Cruse, Lisa Dixon, Amy Cruse, Michael Cruse, Dava Cruse and Timmy Hartley; and her sister Janet Faye Jones. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
