He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Lane Everett; his parents, James R. Everett and Mary Perry Everett; and his siblings, Walter Bert Everett, James Carlton Everett, Leona Burton, Doris Oliver, Lillian Gardner and Opal Hannan.
He is survived by: his wife Rhunell Nelson of Grifton; his children, Terry Everett Moody (Robert) of Chesterfield, VA and James Eugene Everett (Emily) of Cary, NC; and his sister Nancy Dillow of Wilmington, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
