He is survived by: his son Richard James "Rick" Featherston, Sr. (Terry) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Richard James Featherston, Jr. (Rhea) and Amanda Featherston McKenna (Michael); his great grandchildren, Kylie McKenna and Parker McKenna; and his brother John Eugene Featherston, Sr..
