It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Swinson Sr. of Goldsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James E. Kornegay of Rochester, NY and Alene Swinson; his close friend Verlene Coleman of Goldsboro; his children, James E. Swinson Jr. of Raleigh, Richard Smith of Charlotte and Tiffany Swinson of Greensboro; and his siblings, Bobbi Jean Ali of Dudley, Yvette Swinson of Wilmington, Semaj Ware of Rochester, NY, Shirley Fryar of Dudley, DeCarol Artis of Goldsboro and Reginald Kornegay. He was also cherished by grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
