It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Talbot Jeffreys Jr. (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on August 14, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent James Talbot Jeffreys; his sisters, Sara Gillam, Elizabeth Hubard, Virginia Jeffreys, Mary Ann Maxwell and Irene Cornwell; and his son-in-law Andy Lewis.
He is survived by: his parent Gay Pugh Jeffreys; his children, James Talbot Jeffreys, III, Lyn J. Lewis, Gay J. Elmore and Edward Taylor Jeffreys (Sandy); and his grandchildren, Carolyn L. McGowan, Alison L. Nipper, Jennifer L. Brown, Kathryn J. Rowlett, Elizabeth J. Schmitt, Ellen G. Elmore, Morgan T. Jeffreys, Thomas E. Elmore, IV and Austin E. Jeffreys. He is also survived by his four children, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
